Aakash 2, the better and faster variant of the previous Aakash Ubislate 7 is said to have the release date in India by February 2012. The new slate will feature a better processor and more RAM than the first Aakash tablet. If you didn’t know, the most special thing about Aakas tablets is their price, which is the smallest in terms of tablets.
The first Aakash attracted lots of buyers the main reason being the extremely low price, lower even than the price of a phone. The tablet was designed mostly for kids and students, but even so unfortunately it had so weak features that it couldn’t be used for a long time. It was given to students and other important institutions for testing, and they realized that the 366MHz processor and the 256MB RAM can make this tablet perform even basic tasks for a longer period of time. The tablet was sticking on processes and overheated in less than 30 minutes.
800 MHz CPU and 1GB of RAM
Therefore, it has been announced the launch of Aakash 2, a better performing variant of the first one. The Aakash 2 will have a 800 MHz microprocessor and 1GB of RAM which will ensure the tablet’s well functioning with apps and videos. It will also feature an in-built front facing camera for video chatting and a 7 inch more sensitive touch-screen. All these improvements have been decided according to the testers’ feedback and it is said that the Aakash 2 will get even more features after the official release date in India, in February 2012.
Very interesting is that the Aakash 2 will be available for the same price as the first Aakash, despite its enhancements.
The Aakash 2 will have success among students due to its low price, but it is also a governmental project. Being introduced during a conference of United Nations in Paris, several country leaders decided to import the Aakash 2 in their countries, as part of a project named ‘One Aakash for one Student’.

i booked my tablet in December ….. until now i didn’t got any response when it is releasing , when delivery is starting …… I didn’t got any mail or call about the booking or any kind of info n toll free no. is not available…. i need the tablet urgently….!!
The commercial version has been launched and you can buy it from “ncarry.com” .and Aakash 2 tablet will launched maybe in April 2012..

i have also booked akash 2 but i talked to center they are delaying te delivery date, first they were saing the end of march now they r saing it will deliver on last weej of april, and i know when i will call on april they will say that the delivery will on may or june and really deliver on next year.
