Fujifilm X-Pro1

A camera with interchangeable lens

Cameras with interchangeable lens – or ILC – are on the wishlist of many people who work as photographers or people who simply want to take photos as a hobby or are beginners in this field. But what to choose since there are many such products to pick from? And things will get even harder once the Fujifilm X-Pro1, previewed today is released next month at a selling price of just $650.

At some point last year the Internet started leaking pictures and specifications of the latest ILC camera that Fujifilm was working on to get it launched during CES 2012. This product is simply towering over the others in terms of width and thickness, but also solidity, and an interchangeable lens mount has the advantage of making consumers rush to buy the device.

The Fujifilm X-Pro1 is a camera that resembles its X100 relative in the design department, but it sets itself apart by not rocking a fixed single lens and adopting only the good things, such as the 1.44-megapixel hybrid viewfinder that includes a full EVF and data overlay.Fujifilm-X-Pro1

APS-C X-Trans CMOS sensor

Users looking for cameras with new and exciting features will grow interested in the X-Pro1 device because it sports an X lens mount and 3 lenses; one will be an 18mm ƒ2, the other a 35mm ƒ1.4 and the third will be a 60mm ƒ2.4. Each of these will be available with aperture rings consisting of manual-focus rings and 1/3-stop clicks.

The APS-C X-Trans CMOS sensor is, from what bloggers across the Internet wrote, a definite plus for the Fujifilm X-Pro1 considering that the latter snaps 16MP pictures at 6fps whose quality is amazing due to the manner in which color filters are laid out over the pixels.

The Fujifilm X-Pro1 is an interchangeable lens camera that sounds like good value for money. We will be back very soon with a detailed review after the release of the camera.
