iPad 3 release date
The official launch ?
At some point there were some rumors which claimed that the release date for the iPad 3 would be somewhere before the end of 2011. These days it is said the tablet will become available earlier next year. Other rumors talk about its specifications: retina displays, chips, cameras and the list goes on. What is truth and what is speculation?
People at Reuters once said that the Apple iPad 3 will be officially released in the 4th quarter of this year. Others say that it will hit the stores in November. 3 months ago, the site Digitimes wrote that Taiwanese component suppliers were preparing for the imminent launch of the new tablet. Then, orders for the iPad 2 had been cut to 25%. But it was thought that it was due to the financial crisis that had hit the world; other voices said that it happened because Apple’s competitors didn’t come with anything new, so there was no real reason for the American company to bring the iPad3 forward to its users.
Just rumors
At the beginning of August there was a rumor based on which Apple wanted to delay the release of its iPad3; at the end of the same month an expert from cnet.com claimed that the device would appear later next year.
Seeing as Amazon already launched their own tablet, the Amazon Kindle Fire, Apple should release their iPad 3 soon if they don’t want to be beaten in sales; although considering how loved they are, the Amazon gadget shouldn’t be a worry to them.
It remains to be seen when the iPad 3 will finally be launched, but we’ll naturally keep you posted.
