Motorola XOOM 2 image Leaked
First rumors about the tablet
The first time we’ve heard about the XOOM 2 was back in September, but since then Motorola didn’t offer any news or updates on the release date and specs, we must look at the leaked pictures, available on the engadget.com website.
Not even now, there is any official news; however some details on the product began to appear.
From what we know so far from various sources, the Motorola XOOM 2 will feature a 10.1 inch display powered by a 1.2GHz processor with 1GB of RAM.
Less that 100 grams ?
We also know that the tablet will look similar in design with its predecessor, except it will have round cut corners, and with 9mm will be only a bit thicker than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.
The leaked images (from Engadget.com) with the XOOM 2 are not great, but they prove the slate’s back and front cameras and also the stereo speakers. The tablet will also feature a HDMI port, a SIM card slot and a microUSB on the bottom, plus some physical buttons on the back.
Unfortunately, the new Motorola XOOM 2 seems to lack SD card slot, just like the first XOOM, and it is expected to weigh 100 grams less.
10.1 inch widescreen display
On the rear, more exactly, on the blue case of the camera is written HD while there’s no other branding except Motorola’s, which lies right in the middle.
From the leaked pictures it is expected that the XOOM 2 to be brighter on the 10.1 inch widescreen display, but we shall wait and see.
As it appears, the only major changes are in the processor power and screen dimension, while we don’t know yet about the OS on the new device. We would really like to get something new on the Motorola XOOM 2, otherwise we don’t see why a new device with almost the same specifications.
