Razor Fiona Tablet
A new concept of gadget for gamers
Concept tablets will be this year’s revelation and Fiona, the one manufactured by Razor, was presented last week in Las Vegas at the annual CES event. This gadget has an official release in the quarter of this year and the price is under $1000.
Razor is a leading name in the industry of hardware gaming and its products have brought many rewarding moments to buyers. On a 10.1″ multitouch display many things will happen and they will be accentuated by a rumored 1280 x 800 pixels of superb resolution. The apparently solid body of the Razor Fiona, previewed today, has a dongle that doesn’t look like it was finished, but the handles have the style of nunchuks and they look like they are very well fastened to the frame of the device, which is made of metal. Each end of the tablet has 4 keys and the handlebar controllers are advertised as being extra comfortable to hold. The question is whether they will provide the same comfort when used for activities other than playing games.
Intel Core i7 processor
The Razor Fiona tablet is said to be boosted by an Intel Core i7 Ivy Bridge CPU that will make gaming a possibility without the consumer having to do optimizations. Nothing is known about the graphics unit, although the company was clear on the fact that it will be a very powerful one and that it will not get hot as time progresses, thanks to controller-handles.
Our colleagues who were at the CES reported that playing games on this gadget was an overall smooth experience and that the screen, despite its not so brilliant resolution, showed details, colors and so on in a perfectly watchable manner. They said that the sound gave a good performance. The battery of Fiona, according to them, had a time span of almost 3 hours of life.
The Fiona tablet is one of Razor’s most anticipated gadgets for gamers to be reviewed in 2012.
