Samsung launch White Galaxy S II for the holidays ‎

A new version of a successful phone

Snow has already started falling at Samsung turning their latest Galaxy S II in white. Teaming up with T-Mobile, Samsung is planning to launch the white variant of the Galaxy S II right before the holiday season, or the shopping season as well, reaches its highest point. We have no specific date as the company only said “in time for the holidays”, but it can’t be long now.

White smartphones are not very common, which is why we think they are prettier. Black is the most common, although HTC for example is keen on launching colored devices. Actually, it was HTC who first offered a white Android smartphone, the myTouch, which was also available in maroon and of course black.

The same configuration

Samsung launching a white Galaxy S II is not a surprise for us, as we have noticed that lately the company tried to cover all necessities. Anything you need, mid-range, low-priced, fully featured, classy, wide screen, with or without physical keyboard, Samsung has it all. So a snow-white Galaxy S II was mandatory in order to satisfy even the most sophisticated of us.

Besides the fact it is now white, the smartphone remains the same Galaxy S II which we know and like. It has the same 4.3 inch Super AMOLED screen, runs 2.3 Gingerbread and is still among the slimmest smartphones out there with only 8.49mm in its thinnest point.

The iPhone competitor ?

We have nothing against white and we think it is just another reason to get the Galaxy S II noticed once more, in case people forgot all about it. But being so white and nice, doesn’t it look too similar to the Apple’s iPhone?

Let’s hope it won’t be the case and they’ll have success in creating fuss around their new white handset, without any scandals.
