Toshiba L7200 3D LED TV preview

A new generation of HDTV

These days CES is a like a Mecca for everything that’s new in the gadget universe, starting from tablets, going through smartphones, cameras and ending with TVs and other products. Toshiba is used to gathering a lot of attention with its devices and excitement is running high as they’re introducing customers to their recently finished L7200 line fronted by the 7200 3D LED TV set. Price and the release date will be given as the time progresses. Here is just a short preview.

The Toshiba L7200 3D LED TV is a product, and that’s coming from people blogging live about the CES and discussing about devices there, that has yet to be the best one so far where looks are considered. Software included and the way image presents itself to the viewer seem to be further examples of how the L7200 3D LED TV can contend to the title of Toshiba’s future best seller.Toshiba-L7200

ClearScan 240Hz technology

As looks go, the obvious visual change will strike the consumer from the first contact with the device, as the bezel is now truly thin, which is enough to think of this device as more of a tablet. Toshiba themselves refer to the product as a bezel-less TV and concluded that this concept will make thick bezels seem like a big distraction.

The L7200 comes with a passive 3D display which has, among other features, something that Toshiba named a trivector 2D-to-3D conversion. ClearScan 240Hz processing and the inclusion of a LED panel that is edge-lit allowing for local dimming, MediaGuide (that is, an electronic program guide), a dual-core CPU, web browsing, media guides and the possibility to control this TV with Toshiba’s tablets that integrate and infra-red controller are all important features to have on a Smart TV such as the L7200. DLNA compatibility is also mixed into the bunch. We will be back with a review after the official release date.
