Windows 8 Tablet Specs

Some features was revealed

Ever since a gadget such as the tablet began to offer features ans specs available, until recently, only to smartphones, Windows is making big plans once an 8 Tablet will land in people’s hands.

This September we read that Samsung and Nokia will be among the first to launch tablets that will run the latest Windows 8. Especially considering the fact that Samsung presented people who attended the Microsoft BUILD conference that same month with a tablet running on this operating system. Back then, the specs included the likes of a 11.6″ screen with touch capacity and a total of 1.366 x 768 pixels, under 900g of weight, a thickness of just 12.9mm, an Intel Core i5-2467M 1.6GHz dual-core processor, 4GB of RAM and a 64GB SSD drive, 1 microSD memory card slot, 1 micro HDMI connector, an Ethernet port, a USB port, wireless possibilities and, best of all, 3G mobile broadband.Windows-8-Tablet

The 4GB we mentioned is a great improvement for any kind of tablet and is sure to make some serious waves in the industry, especially in the circle of developers. The Nokia Windows 8 Tablet will have a similar set of specifications, with the exception of the processor, and it will supposedly launch in June 2012.

The interface used by the future Windows 8 Tablet is called Metro and bears a striking resemblance to the Windows Phone 7; it will, according to Microsoft representatives, offer a more fluid and fast experience to the user and it will work very well with a regular keyboard as well as a regular mouse. Windows 8 will have a x86 version that will come with a very useful Windows 7 compatibility mode.

As for prices, expect them to be the same or maybe a bit higher than what Android tablets cost. But, either way, the Windows 8 Tablet will be a very exciting gadget to look forward to.
